We’ve tried to make the process a lot simpler by narrowing down your choices to some of the very best gaming headsets you can find for PC. Our picks are based on a combination of factors including price, build and audio quality, features, and of course comfort. Because if the headset isn’t comfortable, you’re less likely to use it no matter how good it is. You can view the full list below along with prices and purchase options. And below the summary you’ll find a brief description of each headset.

Best PC Gaming Headsets

SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless

We’re starting this list off with one of the clear contenders for the best overall headset. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. As the successor to the Arctis Pro Wireless, the Nova Pro Wireless has a lot to live up to. But it seems that it manages to surpass the older model with some pretty great upgrades. For starters, it now comes with Active Noise Cancellation and a transparency mode. So you can either choose to block out anything but your game or let a little bit more sound in. The retractable mic also now sits flush with the headset earcup. SteelSeries also got rid of the ski goggle headband and has made the headset extendable. It even comes with a slightly smaller gaming DAC than the last model. Which still lets you connect to two devices at once. So you can plug it into your PC and your console. Best of all, it comes with two hot-swappable batteries so you can always keep one charged and never have to worry about the headset battery dying on you in the middle of a game. All that said, the headset is certainly pricey. But you get what you pay for. And you’re paying for quality here. If you want one headset for basically everything, this should do the trick. You can also pick up the wired model for Xbox and save $100. Whether you go with wireless or wired, this is one of the best PC gaming headsets out there. Arctis Nova Pro Wireless

HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless

There’s plenty of reasons to love the Cloud Alpha Wireless from HyperX. But perhaps the best reason is the exceptionally long battery life. HyperX claims it’ll last for up to 300 hours on a single charge. That’s twelve and a half days if you were to use it for 24 hours every one of those days. But since that isn’t realistic, this is likely to last you for at least a month before you need to plug it in. Which is absolutely bonkers. Beyond the battery life, it features spatial audio, which we found to be quite pleasing during our gaming sessions, as well as comfortable memory foam ear pads. There’s also a noise-cancelling mic and a durable aluminum frame. All-in-all, a really well-rounded headset for PC gaming and one of the best options you can find. Cloud Alpha Wireless

EPOS GSP 670

When it comes to PC gaming, EPOS’s GSP 670 is an excellent option. It’s kinda spendy, though not nearly as much as it used to be now that you can frequently find it on sale. Plus, you’re getting some really amazing gaming audio for the price. Perhaps the best part is the mic. The swivel motion that lets you flip it up to mute the mic is the easiest way to mute yourself in chat. Period. The headset is also extremely comfortable and can be worn for all-day gaming sessions without getting uncomfortable. Speaking of comfort, it features adjustable fit on both sides of the headset as well as on the top of the band for more or less tension. The mic is also noise cancelling. So even if you’re using Discord which has a decent software-based noise filter, this just ensures that you’re voice is coming through crystal clear. And, you have separate volume dials for regular game audio and chat audio. Letting you adjust things perfectly. It works for PC, PS4, and mobile devices too, and it offers extremely low-latency gaming audio. It works ok with PS4 and mobile, but it doesn’t have the benefits of the PC software that really make the audio shine. For PC this is one of the best gaming headsets you’ll find. EPOS GSP 670

Razer Kraken V3

For wired headsets, it’s hard to beat Razer’s Kraken line. The Kraken headsets have always been a really solid option for around the $100 mark. And the Kraken V3 is no exception here. The price is the same as the Kraken I personally bought and used over 5 years ago. And it’s remained just as comfortable as past iterations while maintaining good sound quality. Razer has given this version a few upgrades. For instance, it now has THX Spatial Audio. So games will sound more immersive and more lifelike. Which is really something. It also now has a detachable HyperClear mic and no longer stores inside the headset ear. For comfort you have hybrid fabric and leatherette ear pads, and naturally there’s Razer Chroma to sync up with any other Razer gear you might have. Kraken V3

Master & Dynamic MG20

While built more with the PS5 in mind, this works with PC as well and is a great PC gaming headset option. The Master & Dynamic MG20, while pricey at $450, offers super high-quality gaming features and comfort. You’re getting every single damn thing you pay for here too. For starters, Master & Dynamic is using materials like magnesium earcups, lambskin leather earpads, and an Alcantara and canvas-coated headband. Additionally, it comes with a detachable boom mic which comes with a pop filter, and it has a second built-in mic for voice calls or chat in a more casual setting. It also comes with a low-latency adaptor, a premium carry pouch, and it uses USB-C for charging. There’s 7.1 surround sound onboard as well, and it comes with up to 22 hours of battery life. I could go on. As there are many more features that make this headset worth it. Like we said, it’s expensive, but you’ll be glad you picked it up if you want a more premium experience in your games as this is one of the best gaming headsets out there, even for PC. Logitech G Pro X Lightspeed Wireless

Next to the EPOS GSP 670, the Logitech G Pro X Wireless Lightspeed gaming headset is one of the best headsets we’ve ever had the pleasure to put on our heads. The large, soft ear cushions wrap your ears in a pillowy goodness that makes these extremely comfortable to wear for many hours on end. Heck, wear them all day if you want. We have, and it still felt great even in the second half of the day. What’s even better is that Logitech G gives you two pairs of ear cushions. One made from a plush leatherette, and another set made from a soft microfiber that should help to cut down on perspiration. The latter pair is great if you live in a warmer climate. Or if your ears just get really hot when wearing headsets for extended periods of time. Beyond the comfort factor, the Lightspeed wireless technology is bar none the best wireless tech for any peripherals. It’s hard to interfere with so you should have little to no issues with audio breaking up. And it has a decent range. So you can easily get up from the chair or couch and grab something from the kitchen if you need to. There’s also easy to use on-ear controls, and a detachable boom mic. Which is always a huge plus. G Pro X Lightspeed Wireless

EPOS H3Pro Hybrid

This is another one of our favorite gaming headsets altogether. The EPOS H3Pro Hybrid is great because you can use it through Bluetooth, which means it’s compatible with mobile devices, but it can also be used with PC thanks to the low-latency dongle. You can also connect it as a wired headset with the included 3.5mm cable if you want to save on battery life. So, you have options for connectivity here with your PC gaming sessions. Connectivity options aside, it provides some of the best sound in a gaming headset that we’ve tried. Plus it’s comfortable as heck and the ear pads are easily replaceable if they ever need to be swapped out. We’d also be remiss if we didn’t mention the very slick detachable mic which connects to the headset using magnets. This is another pricey option, but for its versatility, quality, and comfort, it’s one of the best headsets for PC gaming that you can buy. H3Pro Hybrid

Beyerdynamic MMX 100 & MMX 150

These two closed-back headsets from Beyerdynamic are some of the best you can get for around their price point. Which is $150 for the MMX 150 and $99.99 for the MMX 100. Fitting, we know. Both come with detachable META Voice cardioid condenser microphones for vocal clarity, as well as an impedance of 32 ohms, dedicated volume dials for precise audio adjustment and more. And if you go with the MMX 150 you get the benefit of the augmented mode. Turning this on enables sounds from outside the headset to filter in some. So you can hear both the game audio and what’s around you. Both headsets are wired so you’ll not have the freedom of a wireless headset here. But the comfort and sound quality are awesome and they’re both relatively affordable. MMX 100 & MMX 150

Corsair HS60 Pro

Corsair makes one of the better sounding wired headsets we’ve found at a price of around $70. With plush ear pads and adjustable earcups, as well as an extendable headband, you can wear the HS60 Pro for hours on end and not have to worry about discomfort. Like most of these headsets it’s also multi-platform so you can use with PC and consoles. And if you have a mobile device with a headphone jack it can be used with that too. What we like most about it though is the 50mm neodymium drivers which we thought put out some amazing sound. Especially for the price. It also comes with a detachable mic so it’s not in your face if you don’t need to use it. Simply remove it and store it away. For the price, the comfort, and the sound quality, this is one of the best gaming headsets for Xbox you’ll find. HS60 Pro

JBL Quantum 200

Rounding out the list we have one last wired headset, the JBL Quantum 200. For $50, you’re getting a decent headset for games with comfort and sound quality in mind. While we won’t tell you it sounds better than something like the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, it sounds pretty darn good for the price. And if your main concern is cost without much of a compromise on audio quality, this saves you a few more bucks than the Corsair HS60 Pro up above. It also features a flip-to-mute mic which makes muting super convenient and quick. No having to search for the button like you do on some headsets. It even has volume adjustment right on the left ear cup for easy access. Quantum 200
