The very first foldable smartphone for OnePlus is not coming as soon as you think

Last week’s rumor said that the first OnePlus foldable smartphone will look like the OPPO Find N. OnePlus and OPPO are sister companies, so that would make sense. If that rumor pans out, OnePlus’ first foldable smartphone would be quite compact when folded. When that rumor surfaced, some people got quite excited, and hoped that OnePlus could launch the device this year. Well, based on what Max Jambor said, that’s probably not happening. OnePlus does have plans to launch more phones this year, sure, but not a foldable. The OnePlus 10 and 10 Ultra are both rumored to launch. The ‘Ultra’ model seems to be coming for sure, while the jury is still out regarding the OnePlus 10.

Taking the OPPO Find N design may not be a bad thing for OnePlus, at all

OnePlus’ first foldable smartphone is, of course, expected by OnePlus fans all over the globe. The OPPO Find N proved to be an excellent smartphone, as OPPO did a great job with it, especially from the hardware standpoint. That phone is not only an actual phone when folded, but it does offer a large enough display when unfolded. Its crease is barely visible thanks to an excellent hinge, and it’s overall a great offering. OnePlus announced the global variant of the OnePlus 10 Pro not long ago. That is one of its flagship smartphones for 2022. We’ll get one or two more by the end of 2022, in addition to a number of Nord-branded devices. It seems like we may see more rumors regarding OnePlus’ foldable smartphone in the near future. It would be nice to see a general timeframe for its release, to be quite honest. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to launch in 2022, but 2023 could be an option.
