First Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ smartphones are allegedly coming next month

He went to Twitter to share the news, but that’s not all he wrote. He also added that the last batch of phones with the Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will arrive by early July. That’s where companies plan to focus strictly on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, it seems. As a reminder, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ will be manufactured by TSMC, and it will offer better thermals than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. As a result of that, and other factors, it is expected to offer better performance overall. Having said that, the tipster also mentioned some devices that will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+. He said that he’s sure about 6-8 phones at the moment, though he mentioned only five by name.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 will utilize it, and so will the Xiaomi 12 Ultra

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is one of them, and the same goes for the OnePlus 10 Ultra. The Vivo X80 Pro+ also seems to be on the way, and it will feature this SoC. We were not exactly expecting that device, as it didn’t launch alongside the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro, but there you go. The Motorola Frontier will also include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC, and the tipster also mentioned the “Xiaomi 12 series”. We’re not really sure what he meant by that, as the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro already launched, but the ‘Ultra’ model is expected. So, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will likely include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, as rumors suggested. Plenty of Android flagships are expected to arrive by the end of this year, and many of them will utilize Qualcomm’s new SoC. The upcoming Pixel flagships will use Google’s very own Tensor SoC, of course, the 2nd-gen model.
