First Xiaomi smartphone with 4K display popped up in China
Such a device popped up on TENAA, China’s equivalent to the FCC. Not only does the listing include some specs of the phone, but it shows the device as well, in images. If you take a look at the gallery below, you’ll get to see this phone. I had to zoom in quite a bit to notice it, but the phone does have a display camera hole, and it’s centered. This handset also includes a curved display. There seems to be quite a large camera included on the back, which is accompanied by two additional camera sensors. The camera system is not detailed in this listing, though. The phone is said to measure 158.34 x 71.5 x 6.98mm, and weigh 166 grams. That suggests it will be quite compact, well, considering the competition. This phone may actually be usable with one hand, without causing serious hand fatigue.
A 4,400mAh battery will be included, along with 16GB of RAM
A 4,400mAh battery is also mentioned here, and the device will be equipped with 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. That sure does suggest this will be a high-end phone, even though its SoC isn’t detailed. Well, the listing does say that the SoC will be clocked at 2.4GHz. Android 11 will come pre-installed, says the listing, though by the time it gets announced, that may change. Android 12 is right around the corner, and it all depends on when Xiaomi plans to launch this thing. Its OLED display will measure 6.55 inches, by the way, that is also mentioned in the listing. That’s quite interesting, as you’d guess the display will be larger considering it’s a 4K panel. Now, even though TENAA is usually spot on with its information, there’s a small chance there’s an error here, and that 4K resolution got listed by mistake. We’ll have to wait and see.
