The Galaxy S23 series may launch sooner than you think
He says that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is “fast-paced”, which could lead to “the overall advance of the release time of the new Android flagship mobile phone”. He adds that new models will be released in November, and that the Galaxy S23 series will also be “released earlier”. His English is not spot on, but it seems like he’s suggesting that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 may become available sooner than expected. Therefore, that will affect release timeframes for various companies, and their Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered phones. The Galaxy S22 series launched in February last year, February 9, to be exact. We’ve expected the Galaxy S23 series to arrive at the same time. Well, that may not be the case, based on this info, the Galaxy S23 series may arrive sooner than expected.
January 2023 release is a possibility
When, though? Well, a December announcement is highly unlikely still, but January is not out of the question. The Galaxy S21 series launched in mid-January 2021, so Samsung may do something similar with the Galaxy S23 series. We’re still quite some time away from that timeframe, though, so take this information with a grain of salt. Information from Ice Universe is usually spot on, though, so we’ll see. As a reminder, the Galaxy S23 and S23+ already surfaced. The two phones appeared in CAD-based renders already, to give us the very first look at their designs. These are probably their final designs. One major difference will be visible on the back, as both devices will have a rear camera design similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. In other words, each of their camera sensors will protrude directly from the backplate.
