So what’s new on Paramount+? Well a few movies are making their move over to Paramount+ this month. That includes Top Gun: Maverick. Which hit theaters over the summer, and was one of the biggest movies of all time. It’s finally making its streaming debut on Paramount+. Seeing as it is a Paramount movie, it makes sense that the company did not license this to a competitor. In Top Gun: Maverick, Tom Cruise comes back to the adrenaline pumping action movie. It’s not the only Tom Cruise movie coming to Paramount+ this month either. As Mission: Impossible III also arrives, but a bit earlier in the month. There’s some other big movies coming to Paramount+ this month as well, including The Breakfast Club, The Color of Money, The Hurt Locker, Moonstruck, Rosemary’s Baby, Scrooge, True Grit and more. So while Paramount+ gets a lot of negative feedback for having a bunch of older content on its service, it does have quite a bit of original content landing this month, as well as some pretty popular movies. Mariah Carey’s Christmas Special also lands on Paramount+ starting on December 20. It’s a special two-hour live concert which will be streamed live on Paramount+ at 8PM ET/PT. And it will be available later on, via on-demand. The special is filmed in the iconic Madison Square Garden, and will feature Carey performing a selection of her most festive holiday hits. Which includes the uber popular “All I Want for Christmas is You”, that always tops the charts this time of the year. It’s a good way to get into the holiday spirit, just ahead of Christmas.
