This is the latest camera from Nest, which is a wired security camera. So it can’t be used outside unfortunately. But you could put it in a window to see what’s happening outside of your home or business. Google does offer the Nest Cam in a few different colors too, like snow, fog, and linen.
Nest’s Security Camera can provide peace of mind when you’re not home
The Nest Security Camera is a great camera to use, and it gives you peace of mind. Since you can get notifications about things happening. Like seeing people, or motion, or even animals. It can also detect sound, like glass breaking or a smoke alarm going off, and also alert you. One of the cooler things that Nest does, and this is thanks to it being owned by Google, is identify who it sees. So your notifications will tell you the name of the person that the Nest Cam saw. Which is really nice to have available here. This is part of the Nest Aware subscription though, which is just $6 per month. The Nest Security Camera is super easy to setup, thanks to the Google Home app. And you can also check out your video feed from the web now, instead of just using the Google Home app. Though this is in beta, it’s really useful. The built-in stand for this camera is really nice, since it does allow you to mount the camera on a wall or ceiling, or sit it on a table and adjust the angle that it is sitting at. It’s a really great gift to pick up for someone on your holiday list this year.
