The iQOO 11 series debuts with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, 200W charging & more
Let’s talk about the design first, before we get down to the specs. These two phones look identical. They feature a huge curved display, with a centered display camera hole. Metal and glass are used as build materials, and there’s a large camera island included on the back. There are differences here in the camera, dimensions, and battery departments. Oh, and also, they do come in different RAM + storage setups, of course. Let’s talk about what they have in common first, and then we’ll get down to differences.
Both variants include the best Samsung display available
Both phones feature a 6.78-inch QHD+ (3200 x 1440) LTPO 4.0 AMOLED display. This is Samsung’s E6 panel, basically the best iQOO could get its hands on at this point in time. That display supports HDR10+ content, offers a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120Hz, and gets up to 1,800 nits of brightness at its peak. 1,440Hz PWM dimming is also supported. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 fuels the iQOO 11 series, while both phones utilize LPDDR5X RAM. The iQOO 11 comes in both variants with UFS 3.1 storage and UFS 4.0 storage, while the iQOO 11 Pro includes only UFS 4.0 storage. More on that later.
Android 13 comes right out of the box
Android 13 comes pre-installed on the two devices. In China, OriginOS 3.0 comes included on top of it, while Funtouch OS 13 ships on top of it in global markets. There are also two nano SIM card slots inside of both devices. The front-facing camera is the same on both of them, a 16-megapixel unit with an f/2.45 aperture lens. The infrared sensor sits inside of both phones, while both have stereo speakers, and a Type-C port. 5G (SA/NSA) is also supported on both, as is Bluetooth 5.3.
There are some differences between the iQOO 11 & iQOO 11 Pro
So, what’s different? Well, let’s talk about the camera setups first. The V2 imaging chip is included in both, but the setups are different. The iQOO 11 includes a 50-megapixel main camera (Samsung’s GN5 sensor, f/1.88 aperture, OIS), an 8-megapixel ultrawide unit (f/2.2 aperture), and a 13-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.46 aperture, 2x telephoto). The iQOO 11 Pro, on the other hand, has a 50-megapixel main camera (Sony VCS IMX866 sensor, f/1.75 aperture, OIS), a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (150-degree FoV, f/2.27 aperture, macro functionality), and a 13-megapixel portrait camera (f/2.46 aperture). Their fingerprint scanners are also different. The iQOO 11 includes an optical one, while the iQOO 11 Pro has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on the inside. The iQOO 11 packs in a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 120W fast wired charging. The iQOO 11 Pro comes with a somewhat smaller unit, a 4,700mAh battery, but it supports faster, 200W charging. It also supports 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The iQOO 11 comes in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM. These are available in different storage options. Only the 8GB RAM model with 128GB of storage has UFS 3.1 storage, every other variant includes UFS 4.0 storage. The iQOO 11 Pro comes in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM models. The first two variants ship with 256GB of storage, while the last one includes 512GB of storage. All models have UFS 4.0 flash storage, by the way.
Both phones are coming to global markets
The iQOO 11 pricing starts at CNY3,799 ($544) in China, while the iQOO 11 Pro pricing starts at CNY4,999 ($717). Both phones will be making their way to global markets. The iQOO 11 Pro will launch globally in early 2023, while the iQOO 11 may arrive even sooner than that. The iQOO 11 measures 164.86 x 77.07 x 8.4mm, while it weighs 205 grams (Legend Edition) / 208 grams (Track Edition). The iQOO 11 Pro measures 164.76 x 75.30 x 8.89, while it weighs 210.5 grams (Legend Edition) / 213 grams (Track Edition).
