A new Nothing Phone (1) update improves the camera, adds a new feature, and more

So, let’s talk about the new feature first. Nothing added an option to turn on Google’s Adaptive Battery to intelligently optimize battery life. The company also redesigned the fingerprint verification UI for third-party apps. There are quite a few camera-related entries here. When using Glyphs, images will not be automatically adjusted to optimal color and brightness. The company also improved photo clarity for the selfie camera. Night Mode shooting is now faster, and so is the HDR photo processing time. You’ll now also get richer colors when using the ultrawide camera, as the company turned up the saturation. You should also be seeing less noise and more sharpness when using the zoom option. The last camera-related entry has to do with the camera lenses. The Nothing Phone (1) will now remind you to clean the camera lenses.

App stuttering issues have been resolved as well

Nothing also resolved some issues on the device. You should no longer see stuttering in apps like Twitter, Play Store, and so on. The mobile hotspot should now also work properly at all times. If you’ve had an issue with the lockscreen, that should no longer be the case. The lock screen crashed after tapping on a notification and then trying to use finger unlock. It happened for some people only, of course. Minor UI details have been “polished”, while Nothing also listed “general bug fixes”. This update weighs 64.33MB, and it’s rolling out over-the-air (OTA). Do note that it’s a staged update, and that it may not reach all devices at the same time.
