So while Nothing might have something coming tomorrow, we highly doubt it. Especially knowing how many April Fool’s Day jokes OnePlus has done in the past, and its co-founder is now the founder of Nothing. That would be Carl Pei.
Nothing does show a picture of what is probably their phone
In the tweet, Nothing does show a teaser image of what is probably their own smartphone. Which the company has said will be announced later this year. The picture shows a typical smartphone, showing the bottom of the phone. We can see a USB-C port in the middle with speaker and microphone grills on either side. As well as antenna bands on either side. If Nothing hadn’t posted this, you could say this is a OnePlus phone or even really any other smartphone maker’s phone. It looks pretty generic from this photo. But that’s the point. Nothing’s leadership comes from OnePlus, so we could also start seeing them “leak” out some specs and features of this new phone. That’s what OnePlus tends to do for its phones, to drum up some hype. But out bet is that tomorrow, it’ll be some April Fool’s joke, and hopefully no one will fall for it this time. Of course, we’d love to be wrong, but looking at the calendar, that’s unlikely. Additionally, Nothing said it’s phone is coming this summer. Summer doesn’t officially start until June 20. So we have a few more months before it’ll get announced.
