According to Google, this month’s Pixel wallpapers use “modern 3D adaptations of traditional motifs”. Rico and Crystal World of Trickster Company created these artworks. Google says “the Worls’ approach brings traditional designs to a modern context.” We have three new “Curated Culture” wallpapers celebrating the National Native American Heritage Month: Wolf, Raven, and Raven’s Eye.

Wolf: These strong and intelligent animals thrive in Alaska. This wolf is hanging out with the Moon & Stars.Raven: Raven is a trickster, a creator of many things. In Tlingit culture, Raven is present in many stories.Raven’s Eye: The fine line around the eye represents the infusion of culture in indigenous life. This isn’t so obvious.

These wallpapers are available in the Wallpaper & Style app for the Pixel 3, Pixel 4, Pixel 5, and Pixel 6 series. If you can’t find them just yet, wait for a few days. You can also download the new wallpapers from the gallery below or Google’s official announcement on Twitter. Of course, users of other brand devices can also use these “Curated Culture” wallpapers from Google. Note that these wallpapers aren’t optimized for display notches or punch holes on Pixels, or any other phones for that matter. But this also means you can use any part of the artwork as your wallpaper for a personalized look. On Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, you will be able to use Android 12’s Dynamic Color feature for a more uniform experience. Unfortunately, Google has yet to port this ability to older Pixels. Samsung has added a similar feature to its Android 12-based One UI 4.0.
