Of course, if you have the case and money to support it, and RTX 4080 or even an RTX 4090 may be a better fit. But those aren’t exactly small cards. Which means you will be limited if you don’t have a large enough case. They also come with a very hefty price tag. And this is where the NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti GPU comes in. This is the company’s top tier mid-range GPU for this series. So expect great performance for the money. Essentially this is NVIDIA’s unlaunched 12GB version of the RTX 4080. As it comes with all the same specs. It’s a 12GB card with 7,680 CUDA cores, and a 2.16GHz boost clock.

The NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti launches Jan. 5 for $799

You won’t have to wait long to purchase one of these GPUs if you’ve been waiting to upgrade your system. As NVIDIA confirms they will launch on January 5 at a starting MSRP of $799. Naturally, though, the 4070 Ti will be manufactured by various brands including ASUS, Zotac, MSI, Colorful, GIGABYTE, PNY and others. So consumers should expect some versions of the card to be higher priced than others. Assuming you’re even able to grab a card at MSRP. NVIDIA is opening the doors to purchase a card at 6am PT the morning of launch. But like every card launch before this one for at least the past 5 years, stock will probably be hard to come by. Expect it to go fast and once it’s gone, who knows how long it will be before stock comes back in at regular prices.
