What cameras will the Samsung Galaxy A24, A34, and A54 ship with?
The lack of a depth sensor may not be too detrimental to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A lineup. Not least of all, many devices in the affordable range have already been abandoning that sensor. That puts the focus, instead, on the primary cameras and a more focused experience. And leaving aside more gimmicky features often associated with depth sensors. More directly, that means Samsung will likely put the emphasis on the primary, ultrawide, and macro lenses. Starting with the Samsung Galaxy A24 reports hint that will ship with a 50-megapixel primary snapper. And that will be backed up, if the reports hold true, by an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. The Samsung Galaxy A34, conversely, will keep those sensors on the ultrawide and macro sensor fronts. But it will ship with a 48-megapixel primary snapper. Presumably, that snapper will have fewer pixels but of better quality compared to the Galaxy A24. Since the Samsung Galaxy A24 will be the less expensive of the two. Finally, the follow-up to the widely-lauded Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, the Galaxy A54 will ship with a similar setup to the A24. However, the reports suggest that will have a 5-megapixel ultrawide snapper instead of an 8-megapixel sensor. It may be the case that’s a mistyped specification. Or Samsung could be following a similar trend as noted above. Namely, with a sensor that’s a higher quality but lower pixel count.
