The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is the company’s clamshell foldable, but it’s quite powerful. It actually rivals the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in terms of specs, to a degree, at least.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 specifications include Qualcomm’s most powerful processor
The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. That is the same processor that Samsung is using inside the Galaxy Z Fold 4, and the very best Qualcomm has to offer at the moment. Samsung opted to include 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM inside of this device, while you can choose between 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of flash storage. You cannot expand its internal storage, though, so keep that in mind. The phone includes two panels, and the main one measures 6.7 inches. That is a fullHD+ (2640 x 1080) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone offers an adaptive refresh rate, it ranges between 1 and 120Hz. This display It’s flat, of course, as is the second display. The second panel measures 1.9 inches, and we’re looking at a Super AMOLED panel here. It offers a resolution of 260 x 512, and this panel offers a 60Hz refresh rate.
The phone supports 25W charging, and has three cameras
A 3,700mAh battery is utilized here, as two batteries are combined to provide such battery capacity. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 supports 25W wired, wireless charging, and also reverse wireless charging. A charger is not included in the box, though. There are three cameras overall on this phone, two of which are on the back. A 12-megapixel main camera (wide-angle, OIS, Dual Pixel AF, f/1.8 aperture, 1.8um pixel size, 83-degree FoV) is backed by a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 1.12um pixel size, 123-degree FoV). A single camera is included on the main display. You’ll notice a display camera hole at the top, which is centered. That’s where a 10-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.4 aperture, 1.22um pixel size, 80-degree FoV) sits.
Android 12 comes pre-installed, while a side-facing fingerprint scanner is also included
Android 12 comes pre-installed on the Galaxy Z Flip 4, along with One UI 4.1.1 skin. 5G is supported on the device, as is Bluetooth 5.2. A side-facing fingerprint scanner sits on the right, while the phone is IPX8 certified. There is one nano SIM card slot included, and an eSIM as well. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes in Bora Purple, Graphite, Pink Gold, and Blue color options. Many more combinations are available as part of the Bespoke Edition. The phone measures 71.9 x 165.2 x 6.9mm when unfolded, while it measures 71.9 x 84.9 x 17.1mm when folded. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 weighs 187 grams.
