The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is available in a host of Asian and European countries. Users in South Korea are getting the update with firmware version T225NKOU1CVL5, while that for the other regions is T225XXU1CVL5 (via). The package comes bundled with the November security patch, which is a month old now but still patches a good number of vulnerabilities. Samsung should soon expand this release to other markets, such as Africa. The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite didn’t arrive in the US. However, the Galaxy A13 did, and Android 13 for this budget phone is now live. The rollout hasn’t reached the US yet, but it’s just a matter of time. As of this writing, users in Europe and South Korea are getting the new Android version. The updated firmware versions in the two regions are A135FXXU2BVL2 and A135NKSU2BVL2, respectively. The November SMR (Security Maintenance Release) is part of this package too. A global rollout should begin soon. Note that we are talking about the Galaxy A13 LTE here. Samsung has already updated the 5G model of this phone to Android 13. The update has reached the US as well, along with the November security patch. Since this budget handset doesn’t get monthly security updates, the company will likely skip the December SMR. The next update may come in February or March of next year. But ahead of that, watch out for Android 13 if you haven’t already received it.
