Google has been releasing a bunch of updates over the past couple of weeks. There was the update that locked people into the Android beta program and there was the one that kicked the Pixel 3a out of it. Also, there was an update that delivered a handful of useful updates to the Pixel 6 phones.

The Pixel 6 phones are getting the March feature drop

Well, it looks like the company is not done yet. Earlier this month, Google released its latest feature drop for Pixel phones as far back as the Pixel 3a. This, unfortunately, left out the latest and greatest from Google. However, Pixel 6 owners don’t need to feel left anymore out because the March feature drop is finally arriving on those phones. The roll-out starts today, you’ll want to be on the lookout for the OTA dropping.

How do you check for the update?

A lot of the time, your phone will automatically notify you if your phone has the latest update. However, that doesn’t always happen. Whenever this happens, it’s good to know how to manually check for your update. First, you’ll want to go to your phone’s settings. When you’re there, scroll down to the “System” section of the settings. About halfway down, you’ll see the “System Update” section. Tapping on it will open up to some text letting you know if you have an update or if your phone is up to date. On the bottom of the screen, you’ll see a button that says “Check for update”. Tapping it will make your phone scan to see if there are any available updates. If it still says that your phone is up to date, then you’ll need to wait for the update to land on your phone.

What’s in the new feature drop?

To start off, there will be a new battery widget that gives you detailed information on your battery’s condition. If you’re looking to share your screen with other people, you can do that during a call on Google Duo. Those who like to use stickers a lot will like this feature. The Gboard will actually convert short sayings into stickers for you to post. You’ll be able to transcribe conversations in Spanish, Italian, and French. The system will also be able to identify Spanish in a video and translate. There will be more features to make their way to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
