The Uncharted movie trailer lets us in on some of the story main story
So, this movie is obviously going to involve a lot of exploration, treasure, fighting, guns, and falling out of planes. The main team of characters in the movie is after a legendary treasure; however, nothing is ever that easy. They seem to be facing some sort of organization that’s also after the treasure. It’s up to our team of characters to fight off the organization and grab the treasure for themselves. Along with this story, there’s a subplot revolving around Nathan Drake (Played by Tom Holland). He’s on a quest to find his lost brother. According to Sully (Played by Mark Wahlberg), if they find the treasure, they find Nathan’s brother.
There’s speculation as to whether this is a prequel
Let’s address the elephant in the room: Tom Holland looks WAY too young to play Nathan Drake. While he’s matured a bit since playing Peter Parker in Captain America Civil War, Holland is still a baby-face. Meanwhile, Nathan Drake is 31 in the first Uncharted game. There’s speculation among people whether this is a prequel or if Hollywood just wants to shove younger actors in the movie. The scene where we see Nathan and Sully meeting at a bar hints at this being a prequel (and Sully even mentions how young Drake looks). While this is true, we can’t rule out the possibility of a reboot. If this movie does well, we can expect Sony to make more movies. This means there’s a possibility that the movies will branch off and establish their own continuity. Think about the Sonic Movies and how they seem to be going off in their own direction.
