This is because the carrier just announced this morning that it’s partnering with Microsoft to offer Xbox All Access. As you may already know, Xbox All Access is just a way to split up the cost of the new Xbox console over a period of months. Just like you would if you were financing a brand-new phone from your wireless provider. Naturally you’ll likely need to be approved to purchase the Xbox this way. But if you’re a Verizon customer in good standing with your account then there should be no issues.
Verizon will start selling the Xbox Series X and Series S on July 28
Before you rush out to your local Verizon or hop on over to their website, be aware that you won’t be able to buy an Xbox through the carrier yet. Verizon says that it will begin offering the new consoles through Xbox All Access starting on July 28. That’s only two days away though, so you won’t have to wait long to make the purchase. If you buy a new Xbox through Verizon this way, you also get two years of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as part of the deal. Although that’s not exclusively a Verizon thing and is simply part of Xbox All Access in general. Regardless, it’s a nice cherry on top. Because Xbox Game Pass Ultimate gives you access to a wide library of games, including day one titles, that you can download onto your PC or console. It also opens up cloud gaming which is available on both platforms, as well as mobile devices. Verizon is going to offer some deals though. For example, if you buy a new Xbox using All Access through Verizon, you can pick up the Xbox Elite Controller for 50% off. The carrier is also offering $40 off the Xbox Stereo Headset if you buy the Xbox Wireless Controller, and you can save 25% on the Razer Wolverine V2 controller and Kaira Headset bundle.
