According to the company, you will be able to transfer everything from your profile photo, chats, including text messages, voice messages, photos, and videos, and settings. You will not be able to transfer your call history, display name, and peer-to-peer payment messages though. However, since the Android and iOS versions of WhatsApp use different cloud platforms for backups, the transfer process isn’t quite straightforward. It’s not like uploading all the information on the cloud from one device and downloading it on the other. You have to locally transfer everything via a cable. Meaning you’ll require a USB-C to Lightning cable to connect your Samsung phone to your iPhone. Before you begin, note that your Samsung phone must be factory new or reset to factory settings. It also must be running Android 10 or higher. You also require Samsung SmartSwitch app version 3.7.22.1 or newer installed on it. How to transfer WhatsApp chats from an iPhone to a Samsung smartphone
When setting up your new (or factory reset) Samsung smartphone, select Smart Switch to transfer data and connect it to your iPhone via the USB-C to Lightning cable. You’ll see a QR code displayed on the new device. Scan it using the iPhone’s camera. If you can’t capture the QR code, you can open WhatsApp on your iPhone and go to Settings » Chats » Move chats to Android to access the transfer page.
