WhatsApp has been very newsworthy for the past few months, and we are constantly hearing about the development of its new features. The Meta-owned messenger already allows users to migrate chat history from iOS to Android.

The leaked screenshot clearly shows the whole process for transferring chats between devices. First, it needs your permission to start the process. Of course, it’s essential to have the Move to iOS app installed on your phone. Moreover, a cable or a private Wi-Fi connection might be needed. The feature is still under development, and the release date is unknown.

The migration process isn’t much straightforward

It seems that the process for migrating WhatsApp chat history between Android and iOS devices is not straightforward as it should be. Other messaging apps usually use the data sync by Google Drive and iCloud. Samsung currently offers an easier way to transfer chats from an iOS to a Samsung-made device through a cable or the SmartSwitch app. Thanks to WhatsApp and Google cooperation, migrating your chat history from iOS to Pixel phones is also possible. WhatsApp currently has many new features under development, and once in a while, we hear about a new feature added to the development queue. The Meta-owned messenger is reportedly testing Message Reactions. The feature allows users to react to a message with an emoji. Moreover, a few days ago, we reported that WhatsApp is developing new drawing tools for its built-in image editor. The new drawing tools can make the editor section more practical. Blurring images is another feature that claims to be added to WhatsApp in future updates. Users can blur a specific section of the photo and send it without worrying about leaking their personal information. Adding new and useful features to Telegram has made WhatsApp feel threatened and accelerated the development of its new features to maintain its user numbers.
