Google is giving away a Pixel 6 to a winner of its Pixel wallpaper contest
If you are, you’re free to participate. Now, all you need to do is create and submit a wallpaper for the Pixel 6. The background does have to incorporate the centered front-facing camera. Google did provide a template, so that you know what you’re working with. The company said the following: “Each Wallpaper Design using the Template must celebrate the front-facing camera on the front of the Google Pixel 6 and hide it in plain sight (“Wallpaper Design”). Your Wallpaper Design may include your own original design or your own original photography, provided that the Wallpaper Design complies with the Submission Guidelines.”
The company provided a template and set out some rules
Now, the template itself can be seen below this paragraph, but you should use the one in PNG format from this link. In regards to ‘Submission Guidelines, well, Google does have four points it highlighted. Before we get to those, do note that this wallpaper can be live photography or an illustration. IMAGE
Here are the four criteria Google set out for participants:
“1. Incorporation of the Google Pixel 6 Front-Facing Camera (30%); 2. Suitability for use on Google Pixel 6 Home Screens (for example: does the wallpaper take applications into consideration or does it obscure the Google Pixel 6 status bar, application shelf, date, time, and weather) (20%); 3. Brand Appropriateness (for example: use of Google’s colors in the Wallpaper Design) (20%); and 4. Overall Use of Space (20%).” Google says that following those rules properly will increase your chances of winning the Pixel 6. You’ll also get a Google-made case with the phone, by the way, if you win.
Only one winner will be announced
Just to be clear, Google won’t give out one Pixel 6 to a winner from each country mentioned, not at all. There is only one prize and one winner for all countries combined. Do note that you have to submit your creations until August 23 at 11:59 PM PST. You need to make a submission via this Google Form and by emailing your wallpaper to [email protected].
