The Xiaomi 13 Pro will be a true powerhouse smartphone, based on what we know thus far

Xiaomi confirmed, quite recently, that its next-gen flagship smartphone will get a 1-inch sensor included in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, globally. The Xiaomi 13 series was not mentioned per se, but it’s quite obvious what Xiaomi was saying.

At least one of the two phones will include a 1-inch camera sensor

Now, we’re not sure if it will be included in the Xiaomi 13, or just the 13 Pro, but we’re guessing both. That is the very first 1-inch camera sensor made for smartphones, and it works great in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, based on what we’ve seen. On top of all that, the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. In fact, it will likely be one of the first phones to utilize Qualcomm’s yet-unreleased chip. We have high hopes for that processor, needless to say, as it will be one of the most powerful chips around. We’re sure that Xiaomi won’t skimp out in other areas either. You can expect stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon, top-of-the-line RAM and flash storage, and much more.

Xiaomi may even utilize LPDDR5X RAM & UFS 4.0 flash storage

It remains to be seen if Xiaomi will utilize LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 for the first time, or will it stick to LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1. Vivo is rumored to use brand new RAM and storage for its next flagship. So, let’s hope Xiaomi will do the same. If it does, the Xiaomi 13 series may even become the first two smartphones to do so. Android 13 will, of course, come pre-installed on the Xiaomi 13 series. Xiaomi’s MIUI skin will be included on top. You’ll also get proper IP certification for water and dust resistance, and fast wireless charging.

Samsung’s E6 display is expected

We’re expecting a decently-sized battery pack inside both phones, but we don’t have any info regarding that at the moment. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is also tipped to utilize a 6.7-inch QHD+ Samsung AMOLED E6 display, which is a brand new panel. We’re looking at an LTPO panel here with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi 13 series is expected to be announced before the end of the year. It will arrive to global markets in the first quarter of next year, most probably.
